Get Ugly Sweaters: branding

The Problem

Get Ugly Sweaters is a startup clothing line specializing in ugly Christmas sweaters. Their target market is young adults ages 18-40, looking for the most outrageous sweater to wear to their company Christmas party. With a witty style and tone established, I sought to create a brand that would communicate the brand's spirit of both work and fun.

The Solution

To appeal to a semi-corporate crowd that still wants to have fun, I created a clean-cut logo with quirky curves. In addition, they offer year-round designs, and so I felt their logo should be adaptable to other holidays in a methodical, compelling way. I also used the sweaters' illustration style to create print and web marketing materials.

The Results

Get Ugly Sweaters has sold a large number of sweaters since launching. Their brand continues to appeal to a young professional crowd.
